Q:Why did you decide to speak at WordCamp Kenya?
Working at Red Cross completely changed my life, it’s became a calling saving lives through social media, that one tweet, or blog post can save lives. I want to share my experience to bloggers as they play a pivotal role in information dissemination and also learn about WordPress
Q:What is your talk going to be about?
How Kenya Red Cross uses social media disseminate information and receive user feedback real time and post news Alert as they happen. I will focus on the #iVolunteer who are Red Cross Virtual Volunteers on social media , who report emergency real time thereby increasing response time and to help Prevent, Prepare for and Respond to emergencies faster.
